We know that seeking help for you or a loved one can be difficult. Our aim is to make the process as quick and easy as possible. Please read below to find out more about what to do with a referral or how to book an appointment. Booking an appointment

Your appointment can take place in person or virtually.

If you have been referred

Your referring healthcare professional may suggest a consultant to be referred to at Maudsley Private Care or you may choose which consultant to see and you will be offered the soonest available appointment. You can find out more information about our consultants and their special interests on the ‘Meet our experts’ page.

It is helpful, but not essential to have a letter of referral from your NHS General Practitioner or your private doctor.

Any previous relevant medical history or reports you can provide will be helpful to your consultation – please speak to our team to arrange how best to send this to us.

If self funding your treatment, you will be asked by our team to pay in advance of your appointment.

If you are self-referring

If you are self-referring or seeking assessment or treatment for someone you care about please contact the patient care team to schedule an appointment with one of our consultants. Our team may ask for a brief medical history that could aid your consultation.
